There are so many choices for us to choose from in the world today. You can choose from different kinds of food, cars, homes, jobs, furniture, and pets, etc. However for your children’s education, you have to really consider what your options are. Research and talk to people about what you can do with your child’s education. Find families that are using these educational options.
There is a growing movement of parents choosing home schooling rather than regular traditional public schooling. Many parents out there are staying home and schooling their kids. You also can look into boarding school, private school or maybe a charter school. They even are now developing an online school for K-12.
Your child’s education is a personal decision you have to make which fits you and your child and the situation you maybe in at the moment. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying you can’t change it later. Meaning if you start your child home schooling then have to put them in public school. It is your decision. It has to be what is right for your child and you at the time just like the reverse could be said for public school kids becoming home schooled.
What I am suggesting is you look at all your options. Talk to other families who are using anyone of these options. Get the facts straight to make your choice. In the end your child and you have to be happy with what you decide to do when they are finally old enough to be schooled whether they stay at home, or go to public, or private schools. You also have to make sure your child is being challenged enough in what they do. Don’t forget that kids also need to learn about socialization so take the time and really consider what your child’s education plans will be.
